This
wine has it all!
It
comes from the great 2015 vintage in Tuscany. This is a classic vintage
in Tuscany. The Wine Spectator gave the vintage 97pts hailing the wines as,
“long lived, powerful and concentrated reds, yet the best have purity and
elegance.’
The
wine has a superb price and a huge score. We have the 2015 Arceno Chianti Classico Riserva down to

Winemaker
is tremendous! In honor of its history, the name Arceno comes from the Etruscan
word Archè, which means “point of origin". The estate is located between
two rivers: the Ambra, which flows to Florence, and the Ombrone, which flows to
the Mediterranean. The Del Taja family purchased the land in 1504 and added
architectural improvements. Then, in 1829 the estate was sold to the
Piccolominis, one of the most illustrious families of Siena; who created the
splendid outdoor structures that still stand today. Today the Winery is owned
by the Jackson Family who purchased it in 1994 and is part of their international
portfolio. Wines are made by Pierre Seillan who has made wine all over
the world. His breakout was the 100pt Parker Bordeaux Blends he made at
Verite in California. The wine is drinking gloriously and will age superbly in
your cellar. The wine is full-bodied, wonderfully supple with integrated
tannins, glorious opulent berry fruit and at our price an absolute steal for
what’s in the bottle. Osso Buco anyone??

This
shows beautiful depth of fruit with cherries, fresh earth and hints of coffee.
Full-bodied, layered and very rich. Impressive depth and intensity. Enjoyable
to drink now, but it has a long life ahead of it. 94pts Suckling.
The
nose exudes ripe plums with spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. The mouthfeel has
soft and supple tannins with very approachable acids. Flavors explode with
lavender, tart raspberries and hints of white pepper. The acids carry the
finish of licorice and lingering ripe tangerine. 2015 will be remembered as a
great year. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker
