Guimaro is the project that takes up the family tradition of colleteiro of Pedro M. Rodriguez Perez, who has known to surround itself with good advisers, like winemaker Luis Buitron to elaborate wines faithful to the steep territory of the Ribeira Sacra. To this end, it continues to cultivate local varieties such as Cano, Souson, Merenzao, Brancellao, etc. which enter to a greater or lesser extent in the blend of their reds mainly made with Mencia.

The vineyards of Guimaro are quite close, but the particular orography of the Ribeira Sacra makes the plots very different from each other, depending on the height and orientation they have. This heterogeneity also translates into a wealth of nuances . The pronounced slopes make it necessary to plant in terraces to hold the soil, resulting in different soil compositions. The vineyards of Guimaro are on the slope of Doade, one of the most recognized of all that overlook the River Sil.

TASTING NOTES :The young wine of the winery has in its composition a whole declaration of intentions : mainly Mencia, but well accompanied by the native grape varieties: Caino, Souson, Merenzao, Brancellao ... All this obtains a wine that recreates in the paladar the wealth Of the landscape of the Ribeira Sacra.

Very fresh, characterized by notes of red fruits. Loaded with red and black fruits (blackberry) on a mineral background. Freshness and good acidity.
