world. This name comes from the word, Iksir, which is the Arabic word for
elixir. In short, the word, Ixsir means something that is pure and elegant.

from the areas of Batroun to Jezzine, the vineyards of Ixsir are surrounded by
scenic mountains all around. Diverse soil types (clay, lime, and calcareous)
along with the microclimate of the place makes it ideal for growing grapes that
are known for their richness, complexity, elegance and purity.
vineyards of Ixsir are spread across the entire area of Lebanon from north to
south. Close to 250 families participate in the vine cultivation process here.
These families practice sustainable agricultural and winemaking methods to
ensure that there is no intervention at all during the entire process.
