Winemaker Juan Munoz-Oca is a master at making Cabernet in Washington State. He made Cabernet for Columbia Crest which was Wine Spectators Number One Wine on the Wine Spectator Top 100 in 2009. Todays wine is his new project and his 2016 Borne Of Fire Cabernet Sauvignon has hit a home run. The wine received a monster 96pts by James Suckling and priced under $20 a bottle with Free Shipping, the wine is a great Opportunity for all Cab Lovers.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Borne of Fire has laid claim to a new land affectionately referred to as “The Burn.” From a rugged terrain where agriculture was scarce to where present Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow mighty, Borne of Fire plows ahead and defies the odds.

The wine is a drinker with rich concentration and a supple backend. This will be a great drinker for the Fall and winter ahead.

This is the first year made of this wine with wonderful blackberries, rose leaves and blueberries. Wildly floral. Stems. Full body and round and fine tannins. Juicy and intense. Shows an eccentric style. All large oak [Large Format Barrels]. A new nature and personality. Drink now or hold. Suckling 96pts

Winemaker: Borne of Fire epitomizes the terroir of The Burn. This rugged, yet elegant wine leads with herbal expressive aromas laced with pomegranate and stony minerals. Upon tasting the wine, powdery tannins frame flavors of cherry, currant, savory spice, and red pepper. A green coffee inflected finish rounds out the overall experience.
