Ratings: 90pts Wine Advocate
"Qu'es aQuo" comes from the occitan, aka langue d'oc. This is a language of Roman origins dating back to the Middle Ages and which is still spoken today in Italy, Spain, Monaco and the South of France. "Qu'es aquo" means "qu'est ce que c'est?" in French, or "what is it?" in English. Qu'es aQuo is a red wine made of 80 year old Carignan vines. Of a beautiful dark red color, this wine has a pretty straightforward, floral nose, with soft and silky tannins.
TASTING NOTES: Wine Advocate 90 points - The smaller production 2014 Qu'Es Aquo Costieres de Nimes is a beauty! Made from very old vine Carignan and fermented and aged in old barrels, it has terrific purity in its ripe black cherry, leather, dried earth and spice aromas and flavors. The purity and tannin quality are outstanding, and this is a classic, full bodied Carignan to drink over the coming 4 5 years..Jeb Dunnuck, December/2016
