RATINGS: 93pts Wine Advocate
Mas de Boislauzon is a family run estate in the southern Rhone focusing on Chateauneuf du Pape. Both white and red Chateauneuf du Pape are grown in addition to a special cuvee, Le Quet, made mostly from very old Grenache vines.
Monique Chaussy runs the property along with her daughter Christine and son, winemaker, Daniel Chaussy. The family represents the sixth generation of wine growers in the area.
TASTING NOTES: Wine Advocate 93 points- A stunning entry level effort, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape from Mas de Boislauzon is full bodied, richly textured and plush. This 70 30 blend of Grenache and Mourvedre was raised exclusively in concrete, allowing the black cherry and plum fruit to shine, accented by allspice and clove notes on the long finish..Jeb Dunnuck, October/2017
