Save 25% RATINGS: 91pts Spectator; 94pts Parker
Two Pinot Noir lovers, Adam and Dianna Lee, founded Siduri Wines in 1994. They produced only four and a half barrels of Pinot Noir that first vintage. Now they handcraft over 10,000 cases of Pinot Noir from vineyards ranging from Oregon's Willamette Valley down to the Santa Rita Hills and Santa Lucia Highlands AVAs. Each Pinot Noir is created using gravity flow and minimal intervention, with the goal of reflecting the unique terroir of each particular vineyard. Siduri Wines and its sibling, Novy Family Wines have received the Wine Spectator's New York Wine Experience "Critics Choice" recognition a combined seven times since 2004.
Garys' Vineyard has been a superb source of Pinot Noir ever since the first crop in 1999, but in recent vintages it has really stepped up its game and is now producing some of the finest grapes anywhere in California. Of course, a great deal of this has to do with the remarkable farming. Owned by both the Pisoni and Franscioni families, the Garys' Vineyard is farmed meticulously by the combined efforts of Mark Pisoni and Gary Franscioni. We work together closely with both of them to make certain that all of the farming is done to our specifications and that quality of the fruit is truly world class.
TASTING NOTES: Wine Spectator 91 points -Firm and rich, focused on a tight core of licorice laced blackberry, cedar, anise and savory herb flavors, this turns tamer toward the finish, finishing with a full bodied aftertaste. Drink now through 2022. J.L..February/2015
