One
Of Napa Cabernet's Greatest Values,
"Food and Wine Magazines Best Cabernet $20 and Under"
The
demand for quality Napa Cabernet keeps pushing prices ever higher and it has
become almost impossible to find quality under twenty dollars a bottle. This
wine the 2011 Twenty Rows is the exception.
The wine is sourced from select vineyards in two of Napa’s finest appellations,
Mt Veeder and Yountville. Superb rich black fruits, the perfect amount of oak,
supple and smooth on the finish, this Cab is as good as many that are three
times the price. An amazing value, this is one of the finest in-expensive Napa
Cabs I have tasted in some time. Our price is strong, ready to drink and at
$16.99 per a great house red.
NAPA'S FINEST VALUE
CABERNET
It
is increasingly difficult to find good Napa Cabernet that won’t set you back
$40 or more. The answer is Twenty Rows. The folks at Twenty Rows realy know how
to make Cabernet. Winemaker Brian Nuss must be commended for this effort.
Rigorous
vineyard management and traditional viticulture and eonological techniques are
utilized in building the wines of Twenty Rows. The 2009 Cabernet is crafted
from carefully selected grapes to yield an intense, deeply colored wine of
concentrated aromas and flavors. The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from
Mt. Veeder and Yountville. The wine opens up with dark cherries and black
currants. Then shows hints of chocolate, tobacco and graphite. Dense texture
and a fine sense of balance enhance the pleasing aromatics of blackberry and
vanilla bean.
"A
wonderful red wine that has everything you are looking for in a Cabernet. The
20 Rows is an amazing discovery that we feel will be a huge hit over the next
few years. For an inexpensive Cabernet Sauvignon, this is one of the best I've
had this year and is easily one of the better values in any area in the shop.
The massive fruit flavor and the silky smooth finish make this a future
superstar."
Brian
Nuss Winemakers Tasting Notes: Beautiful color with penetrating aromas that
begin with black currant, blueberry and cacao all neatly layered for
complexity. The palate reveals flavors of juicy blackberry, cherry and
espresso. Firm, solid tannins provide good structure, weight and a great
mid-palate grip. Long finish rounds out this wine.
