Personal Wine Recommendation For You Key
Wine for Collectors to Secure In 2014 Are The Mind Blowing 2010 Barolos
The
most sought after wines being released this year from Europe are the 2010
Barolo’s. Barolo’s from Piedmont make up some of the most collectible and
sought after red wines in the world. They are one of the five “Bs” of Europe
which include Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello, Bordeaux and Burgundy. These areas
make the finest wine in the World. Italy in 2010 had an exceptional vintage.
One of the greatest ever!
Parker’s
WA has hailed the vintage as one of the greatest ever. Spectator, Suckling
and Galoni have also given huge praise, "In
my view, 2010 will go down as one of the great all-time vintages. The wines show beautifully delineated aromatics, punchy
fruit and vibrant, mouth-watering acidity." Other comments include, "Exceptional"
and "one of the greatest"
The
demand for the best Barolo’s is huge, this is a definite buy vintage. These
wines will age brilliantly, increase in value, will be hunted down by
collectors and will be cherished over the next thirty years. Today I have two
great single vineyard wines that are at the top of the heap and reasonably
priced. The 2010 Giacomo Brezza Barolo Cannubi and
the 2010 Brezza Barolo Bricco Sarmassa. Parker’s
WA comments that if you truly love Barolo then you will definitely want to
enjoy and collect Brezza. Cannubi and
Sarmassa are two of the most sought after single vineyard in Barolo. They are
the best! Proprietor Enzo Brezza selects from the very best part of these
vineyards. He makes traditional, classical Barolo of the finest quality, rich
and dense palates with dazzling persistence and layers of fruit build to the
superb long, long finishes. Now with the huge demand for top Barolo in 2010, we
are offering these wines on a pre-sell to ensure availability to all and ensure
best pricing. Delivery will be in March.
The
wines have gotten huge scores 95 and 96pts by Parker. So far we have only heard
from Galoni who rated Parker’s Italian wines for the last eight years and has
now gone out on his own. His palate when it comes to Italian wine is definitely
one of the best. Fine and rare at its finest.

on previous vintages: It blossoms on the palate
with layers of perfume-laced fruit, orange rind and sweet spices. The wine
turns weightier in the glass, as dark cherries and plums add layers of complexity.
The suave, silky tannins are pure Cannubi, but it is the wine’s multi-faceted
personality that places it among the vintage’s finest bottles. Wine will age
out over decades.

on the inferior 2009 gave 96pts The 2009 Barolo Bricco Sarmassa takes the
Nebbiolo experience to dazzling heights. The power and heft of the wine is
immediately apparent and the wine fills the palate, front to back. It’s a wine
of fascinating juxtapositions. At one moment it feels astringent, the next it
feels silky and long. The aromas are floral, then savory, then spicy in what is
a constantly shifting and evolving aromatic presentation. The wine gains
intensity and purity as it airs in the glass and this bodes well for its
long-term potential. I’d love to revisit this wine in 10 or 15 years.
Anticipated maturity: 2016-2040.
