Tasting Notes: Austria's Grüner Veltliner has emerged as one of the most recent additions to the iconic wines of the world. It is almost singularly associated with Austria where it is widely planted. Wachau is one of the leading regions for Gruner. The wine has a lovely richer texture and is vivacious and fresh. The wine is smoky and flinty with ripe yellow apple. Lots going on on the palate that has lovely juicy fruit. Great acidity and minerality on the finish. This family run winery has been run by the Eders dating back to 1849.
