Red Wine Hand-Picked 91 Pts RP r <b>Tasting Notes :</b>TSpain is famous for some the finest red wine values the world has to offer. I am sure you have heard of the famous wine writer Robert Parker. We have secured the wine that has gotten the highest rating from Parker for the lowest price. The wine comes from one of the great up and coming Spanish wine region Montsant. Montsant is a small appellation that wraps around Priorat. (The Oldest Syrah vineyard in all of Spain is found in Montsant.) The wine is made by the finest Winery in Montsant, Falset Marca which was founded in 1919. Winemaker is the extremely talented Jordi Alonso. The wine is a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Carignan and a smattering of Syrah. The Grenache and Carignan come from 100 year old and the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels. The wine displays superb blue and black fruits in the bouquet and on the layered palate. The wine has excellent grip and depth followed by a lengthy finish. If you want to experience Priorat without paying the price (60 to 200 dollars a bottle) this is the way to go<br><b>Tasting Notes-Robert Parker</b>The 2006 Etim Seleccion is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Carinena, and 10% Syrah aged for 6 months in seasoned French and American oak. Opaque purple-colored, it exhibits a brooding bouquet of minerals, black cherry, and blueberry. Layered on the palate with hints of dried herbs and an amalgam of blue and black fruits, the wine has excellent grip and depth followed by a lengthy finish. If you want to experience Priorat without paying the price, this is the way to go.
