Winemaking is overseen by consultant Attilio Pagli, who uses a minimum a new oak, allowing old-wine character to shine through, featuring aged plumy fruits, saddle leather and tobacco notes. The estate produces minuscule quantities of wine and has all but stopped producing Rosso di Montalcino in order to focus on Brunello.
