If I told you who made this wine I would have to swear you to secrecy. Actually I would never tell who made this wine because I respect the person wishes too much and they happen to be one of my all-time favorite winemakers and she is a master, if not the master of Cult Cabernet. She is a legendary wine maker who has made 100 point Parker scoring Cabs that sell for over $1000 a bottle. The wine she made is the 2007 Rockface Cabernet and we sold hundred of cases last year. The wine sold between $20 and $25 a bottle and was one of the great buys of this classic vintage. You should all know by now that 2007 is a great vintage, in fact one of the all-time greats. Parkers highest rating he has ever given a vintage and Spectator gave it a near perfect 99 pts. We have been able to steal this great Cabernet and on this email if you purchase a case you can get it for $14.99. I look at a many thousands of wines a year to offer our customers and I can tell you this is an insane deal on such quality. The Juice comes from three different vineyard sites in Napa and Sonoma and was blended into Rockface. The breakdown is 86% Cabernet, 8% Merlot, 5% Cab Franc, and 1% Petite Verdot. There are many and I mean many $30 to $50 bottles of Napa Cab that do not come close to the quality of Rockface. It is rare that we can offer you classic, real Cabernet at this price point, big, bold and ripe without being heavy handed. Superbly Balanced. The only downside to this is that we could only secure a limited supply at this price. Don't Tarry.
Tasting Notes: The wine has a finesse and balance that this price level usually lacks. A superb bouquet of currant, ripe cherries, violets and vanilla. It's dense, seductive, and dark. The palate feel is silly with nice body and richness. The texture is very smooth; the tannins are just right, you don’t really notice them, but they tie the wine together. The mid-palate has some nice dense Blackcherry too. This is a ripe, fruit driven wine; slightly chewy, not rough, lush, polished, and supple.
