It has a very well balanced palate with powerful citrus fruits laced with lemon curd, orange essence, apricot and brioche that dovetail into a precise finish. This Chenin comes highly recommended, especially for the price. Drink now-2017+<BR>Whilst I have enjoyed more than my fair share of legendary Bordeaux wines, Ken Forrester provides a pertinent reminder that great Cabernet can be made for under ten-dollars. You could count the number of Bordeaux chateaux offering equivalent QPR on one finger. This, and the rest of his portfolio represent everything that can be achieved in South Africa: cleanly made, expressive wines at unbeatable prices interspersed with one of two flagship wines that mean business. Hand-Picked 92 Pts RP r I have been a long time fan of the dessert elixir of PX Sherry. This one is gorgeous for the price. This is not the sherry you old the old ladies used to sip on. This is a dessert wine like no other, almost black in color and is receiving a bit attention lately, rivalling Banyuls as the perfect match to chocolate desserts and blue cheeses. The Winery was founded in 1832, this wine is aged for fiteen years using the Solera system. I loved this. It shows lovely mid-palate juiciness and an elegant, polished finish. At $24 a bottle, it may very well be the single finest value in American Pinot Noir. I was hardly surprised to learn Emirates chose to serve this wine in their business class cabin last year. This is a dazzling wine from start to finish. It is also one of the two Pinots in this tasting (the others are 2008s) made from fully destemmed fruit. Wow! Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016. I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted from Josh Jensen and Calera.

Pre-Sell Red Wine Hand-Picked 92 Pts RP r <STRONG><FONT color=red>92 pts Parker</FONT></STRONG><BR><STRONG>The 2010 Vintage For Southern Rhone Is Classic.<BR>Great Gigondas Producer.<BR>Same Quality as Chateauneuf du Pape<BR>At a Lower Price.</STRONG><BR>The world of wine yields great treasure from different parts of the world in a given year. This year there is huge demand for the spectacular Southern Rhone's from 2010. The great wines from the Southern Rhone are the Chateauneuf du Papes and people in the know are clamoring/lining up for the best Chateauneufs from this incredible vintage. Parker himself tastes the Southern Rhone and he has declared 2010 a GREAT VINTAGE with some producers commenting that their 2010's will eclipse their 2007's. Parker comments that, I can't remember a vintage so concentrated, powerful and rich...Weather conditions were near perfect. The 2010's will have significant aging potential, they have excellent tannic structures. The tannins however are sweet, supple with exceptional elegance and finesse. The Southern Rhone is offering an embarrassment of riches and more and more wine lovers are beating down the door to get these outstanding wines. There is one massive problem with this great vintage. The crop was very small, 30 to 40% of all Grenache grapes were lost, the dominant grape varietal in the Southern Rhone. This was due to a viticulture problem, the French call coulure and millerandage which results in uneven berry size and different levels of grape maturity. If in a normal year let say 1000 cases of a wine are made, in 2010 only 500 to 700 cases were made. Availability of these great wines is going to be a definite problem.Domaine Brusset are top four producer in Gigondas, an Appelation not as famous as Chateauneuf du Pape but the best are every bit as good but at a much lower price. This important domaine has vineyards spread throughout the southern Rhone, primarily in Gigondas and its neighboring villages. Domaine Brusset was among the first estates to introduce small barrels (barriques) for aging their top cuvee, the old vine Les Hauts de Montmirail. After an extravagant use of wood in the early days, they have gotten the marriage between wood and fruit to a nearly ideal point. We have three of their finest wines in the 2010 vintage that have got massive scores at low prices. This is a Pre-Sell.<BR><B>Tasting Notes:</B> Domaine Brusset’s Cairannes are both beautiful wines as well as outstanding bargain . Red Wine Hand-Picked 92 Pts RP r <b>Tasting Notes:</b> Great wines are made in all vintages and Lesec’s Gigondas Cuvee Romaine 2006 is recognized as the finest he has made and is a spectacular example of Gigondas. The Gigondas appellation is the second most famous after Chateauneuf du Pape in the Southern Rhone. Many are as good if not better than Chateauneuf and they offer far better value. This wine cannot be touched in quality by any Chateauneuf under Fifty dollars a bottle. I love what Parker says about the wine: I was seduced by Lesec’s 2006 Gigondas Cuvee Romaine Les Espalines. It has more acidity than the 2005, but also more charm, fruit, and ripeness. A pretty wine with good tannin, minerality, black cherries, and herbs, it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 10-12 years.<br><br>Bright red. Energetic strawberry and raspberry scents complicated by rose, lavender and baking spices. Tightly wound red fruit flavors fatten and deepen with air, picking up light tannins and finishing with excellent persistence. Combines sweetness and grip with a deft hand. The wine is 65% Grenache; 25% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah from 50+ year old vines. Covered with layers of small white stones, these lovely hillside vineyards in Gigondas have an ancient history dating back to the Romans.

The great Malbec's from Argentina are offering big red quality at by far the best buy in out there and this is one of the best. Parkers WA just looked at Argentina and one of the highest scoring wines at the price was an old favorite of mine. The 2006 Finca Abril Malbec 1922 got 92 pts by Parker and we can offer it to you $27.99. Straight up this is a great buy! The wine displays gorgeous concentration and opulence but has absolutely perfect balance. The wine gets its name from a tiny one acre vineyard that was planted in 1922. We all know that old vines make the best wines, where you get awesome richness with an elegance to match. Located in La Consulta in Valle de Uco, the mid-west of the Province of Mendoza, these are high altitude vineyards which have the ability to produce long ripening Malbec with great depth and character. This area is one of the best parts of Mendoza like Pauillac in Bordeaux. Yields are extremely low and the wine spends 18 months in new French oak. This red being a 2006 has had time in the bottle to really show. This wine will blow your mind for its incredible concentration, balance and elegance that is normally kept for Cult Cali Cabs and other Cult reds from Chile, Argentina and Australia at much higher prices. I strongly recommend, this wine is complete and ideal red wine drinking over the upcoming colder months. If you want serious quality at a reasonable price this is your wine.<BR><BR><B>Tasting Notes: </B>The 2006 Malbec offers up a sexy perfume of wild berries, underbrush, incense, and lavender.
