Tasting Notes :An amazingly silky and elegant entry and finish. It’s origin, a Pritchard Hill Vineyard above Oakville is revealed in its fully structured mid palate. The aromas show intense classic Napa Valley Cabernet character with ripe blackberry, currant, and anise, rich elements of vanilla and chocolate, but also present are unique floral and perfumed elements of lilac and rose petal that give the wine nuanced complexity and interest. When I tasted the wine, it had been decanted in the morning and had about 6 hours of air on it. The wine was DELICIOUS! It served up classic aromas and flavors of blackberry, cherry, currant and anise with hints of cocoa and vanilla beans. It is well structured despite the lush nature of the fruit. This is really mind blowing stuff right now and I suspect that it will only get better over the next 7-10 years.
