Big rich, opulent and massivey concentrated. Parker “The 2005 Valserrano Garnacha (100%) spent 16 months in French oak. Smoke, black cherry, cinnamon, and Provencal herbs inform the nose of this sweetly fruited, smooth-textured, layered Garnacha. It displays excellent volume and concentration as well as the structure to evolve for 2-3 years. Drink it from 2013 to 2020, perhaps longer.” Tanzer, “Saturated ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes red and dark berry preserves, incense and vanilla, with slow-building spiciness. Densely packed and creamy, with sweet raspberry and boysenberry flavors complicated by spicecake and vanilla notes.
