Tasting Notes: The 2010 vintage for Burgundy is what legends are made of. The vintage is being hailed as one of the greats and from the very few I have tasted so far I completely agree. Spectator; "Burgundy is already heralding 2009 as a great vintage. History is on the region's side. The vintages on the "nines" have produced some memorable harvests—years like 1999, 1989, 1969, 1959 and 1949." The whites have spectacular fruit and blance with good acidity. The best value we have found so far is this little gem of a white from the Macon. It gives you a excellent idea of how great the whites from the Cote de Beaune are going to be. Parkers Wine Advocate loved its as well giving the wine 90 pts and at the price of $15.99. How can you go wrong! "If this exemplifies what we are going to see from the 2009 vintage in the Maconnais and further north in the Cote d’Or, consumers are in for a treat. Larochette-Manciat’s 2009 exhibits plenty of steely freshness as well as ripe nectarine and honeyed melon notes presented in a fruity, medium-bodied style. It is a beautiful white combining power with elegance. Enjoy it over the next 1-2 years."
