95 Pts RP r <b>Tasting Notes:</b> The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve reveals a more opaque blue/purple color in addition to gorgeous aromas of spring flowers, blueberries, boysenberries, and hints of licorice and background oak. It cuts a broader, richer, full-bodied swath across the palate with no hard edges. Full and layered, this seamless beauty is further evidence of just how great as well as consistent the 2007 vintage is for this varietal in Napa Valley. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.<br><br>The greatness of the 2007 vintage for Napa Cabernet has been well established. Parkers highest rated vintage ever. Spectator gave it 99 pts and declared it the “vintage of the decade”. The wines are spectacular and demand has been huge with wines selling out on release mostly last year. We do a fair trade with a great house in Napa called Frank Family and they have been very kind to offer us their classic 2007 Frank Family Reserve Cabernet that was awarded a huge 95 pts by Robert Parker himself in magnums. This has come straight from Frank Family Cellars. This wine has been sold out for quite some time but this was released from their library stock. Winery is owned by Rich Frank, a big time Hollywood player, who once ran Disney, chose Napa as a place for quick getaways, fell in love with wine and purchased the historic Larkmead Winery in Rutherford that dates back to 1884. I have always loved their Cabs, winemaker is Todd Graff, but in 2007 their Cabs blew the doors off. This wine is normally not offered to the public. It is very rare and very desirable to get huge scoring Napa Cabs from a classic vintage in large format. This is a definite collector piece. Will age and drink as well as any Cab in your cellar. The wine is extremely well priced for such quality and its rarity.
