The 2007 Cellier des Princes Chateauneuf du Pape while supplies last can be had at $29.99 per bottle by the case. This is a 40 % savings on a truly exceptional wine. Quality from this vintage is absolutely sold out. Tanzer loved the giving it 90pts and I tasted the wine last week and it delicious, softening nicely with rich concentrated red fruits, a complex bouquet and satiny supple on the back end. The wine won Gold Medal at the Challenge International du Vin. The great wine writer Jancis Robinson rated the wine 17 out of 20, the same score others that are well passed the $80 mark. This quality from such a great vintage, from a region of such pedigree under $30 is unheard of. This is the King of the Southern Rhone, Chateauneuf du Pape, making some of the greatest wines in the world. Cellier des Princes is one of the longest established producers from the region. This wine is absolute nectar! A spectacular buy!<br><br>Medium red. Seductively perfumed bouquet displays scents of redcurrant, cherry and rose, with an undercurrent of spices and minerals. Acts like a pinot on the nose, offering gently sweet red fruit flavors and good mineral snap. The finish repeats the floral and mineral notes and lingers with impressive clarity and persistence.

Red Wine Hand-Picked 91 Pts RP r <font color=red><strong>91 pts Parker</strong></font><br><b>Tasting Notes:</b> 76% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre, 3% Cinsault, 2% Clairette, 2% Counoise, 2% Vaccarese): The grapes are harvested by hand and partially destemmed (30-40%) depending upon the ripeness of the vintage. Vinification takes place in cement tanks over a period of 18-to-23 days. Certain lots of grapes are harvested separately, but generally two or three grapes are vinified together. 30-40% of the wine is raised in foudre, 40-50% in enamel-lined tanks, and 15-20% in new oak. The wines are normally blended after one year.

Nicely rounded and integrated for the vintage. Drink now through 2021. 2,200 cases made.<br><br>A beautiful wine, the 2008 Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf-du-Pape shows the best of the vintage with elegant, classy aromatics of ripe black cherries, garrigue, spiced meat, and solid underlying minerality. Fresh and complex on the nose (picks up a touch of mole sauce with air), the wine is medium bodied on the palate with a superb, pure, light texture, perfect balance, integrated acidity and a long finish. I tasted this once at the domaine (rated 91) and then followed a bottle over two days at home. It fails to truly impress right on opening but really comes into its own on the second day.
