Tasting Notes: This wine is the product of a single vineyard planted with the Tempranillo (95%), Graciano and Garnacha varieties in 1948. The 2005 Vintage spent 18 months in French oak and was bottle in March 2008 after a gentle filtering. Intense in the nose prior to swirling in the glass; there emerge nuances of cedar and nutmeg, together with high-roasted notes on top of underlying aromas of fine woods. Upon swirling, the previously-mentioned nuances combine with hints of chocolate, coffee, and fruit liqueur. The initial taste is unctuous and flavoursome. It continues to grow as the wine passes over the tongue, becoming potent and full. The ripe fruit and liqueur flavours are accompanied by potent, but velvety, tannins. The aftertaste is long and lingering
