A: If you find any errors in your order regarding type of wine and vintage, please call our order department 800-434-9463 or send an e-mail to Service@grapeswine.com right away. GrapesWine.com will arrange to have the package picked up and returned to us right away for inspection. Once the package is returned to us, we will inspect the contents and then send out a replacement package to you. Please note, any problems with the receipt of your package must be called in to us within 30days of the delivery date! If you suspect the bottle is bad, please just put the cork back in the wine leaving the contents of the wine in the bottle. We can't take back any empty bottles! For this reason, it is vital that you let us know of any errors immediately to ensure the fastest delivery of your new shipment. If you wish to return your wine for any other reason you may do so. Please re-pack the wine and send it to "Grapes of Norwalk, Attn: Returns, 10 Cross St, Norwalk, CT 06851". Please include a copy of the original sales receipt with the package. Please note: All returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
A:We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of Connecticut. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of alcoholic beverage products. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. Alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old and by placing your order you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old and the person to whom delivery will be made is at least 21 years old. When your order is delivered the person receiving delivery will be required to show identification proving that they are at least 21 years old.
Wines sold are subject to applicable Connecticut sales taxes. Title of the wine passes to the buyer in Connecticut State at the time of purchase. Be advised that liquor laws and regulations are different in every state and locale. Buyers are reminded that they themselves must determine whether they may import wines into their states without being in violation of state local laws or regulations. We do not assume or bear any responsibility for this diligence on you part. Every effort is made to ensure shipment of wine exactly as ordered. Occasionally this is not possible due to the finite nature of the product. Should it be necessary, we reserve the right to exchange wines of equal or better quality for the same price.

A: If you do not see your state listed on our list of valid shipping states that is because either your state or CT law prevents us from shipping within your states borders.
A: All presales and futures are charged at the time of purchase. Since all presales and futures are guaranteed orders, we must have a firm commitment from the customer to purchase the case of wine on the presale basis. The price advertised during the presale is often times at a lower price, and the price is subject to change once we purchase more for regular inventory. Having the presale paid in full ahead of time will guarantee the customer of the discounted presale price should it change at a later date.
A: If you place an order and request it to be sent as a gift, there will be no documentation included with the shipment. If you would like a gift note to be included, that can be accommodated by using the "gift or special notes" text box during the check-out process, or by mentioning that to a sales representative while placing the order on the phone.

Repeat the process - over the next 2 months - as you make further personal selections from future emails or from the web. In this way over 2 months you will have personally selected your BUILD A CASE of wine (12 bottles). You can decide on any combination of wines with a minimum of 2 bottles of each type.

D. HERE'S HOW TO ORDER:
Simply select the wines you wish to place in your BUILD A CASE PLAN and click the Build A Case Button on your Product. Those items will be added to your BUILD A CASE. You can now CHECKOUT. When you place your first 2 bottles of wine in your BUILD A CASE, you will also be charged a discounted shipping rate based on the total 12 bottles that need to be purchased over the 2 month period. We will place your selections aside, charge your card and wait for you to complete your final selections over the 2 month period. To check your selections once you have started to add to your BUILD A CASE - log in and go to MY ACCOUNT.
Just NOTE that when you are placing an order for BUILD A CASE, you can not combine it with a regular order. In order to place a regular order, you must complete your BUILD A CASE - CHECKOUT- then place your regular order.
A: Yes, we can deliver anywhere in Connecticut by van. FREE SHIPPING in CT on orders of at least a case!
A: Orders are shipped within 5 – 7 business days. Pick up orders are the same. Please call before coming for a pick up.
A: Unfortunately no, all wine orders must be processed and billed the day they are placed in order to remove the items from our inventory.
A: Yes, we have gift certificates available in any denomination. Gift certificates are available for in-store use only at this time, and are available at any register. We can mail gift certificates for you, however they must be sent as a FedEx letter so they can be properly tracked and delivered since it is the same as sending cash in the mail. There is a $4 fee for the FedEx service.
A: There is a 30-day holding period for all orders. Because we operate in such a high volume, space in our warehouse is very limited. We are a wine retail store; however we are not a wine storage facility. Orders that exceed the 30 day holding period are subject to a $20.00 storage fee calculated on a per case basis.
A: Our retail store operates Monday through Thursday 10:00 am to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m. Sunday closed.
A: There must be an adult of at least 21 years to sign for any delivery since the shipment contains alcohol. If no one is available when delivery is attempted, there will be two more attempts made on consecutive business days. At this point you can contact the shipper to make alternative shipping arrangements after the first attempt is made. Should delivery fail on all three attempts, the package will return to sender, and we must recharge shipping in order for the package(s) to be re-sent.
A: We ship all year round. If you are aware of an extreme hot or cold spell from CT to your area, please notify the order department that you wish to briefly delay shipment until the weather is more favorable. Please note that the shipping materials we use are extremely resistant to hot and cold temperatures.
A: By selecting ground service, this does not guarantee a delivery date, it is rather an approximation. For example, the normal transit time from CT to New York is 1 business day; however there have been cases where it has taken 2 days. Therefore it is best to use the delivery schedule as, in this case, 1 to 2 days; be sure to give yourself ample time for delivery. As for time of day, it all depends on what stop you may be for the delivery truck. We cannot guarantee, for example, a delivery time of 12-3pm; it would rather encompass the entire delivery time of 9am to 7pm.
A: Yes, we do ship to business address, which is advised if no one is at your home address to sign for the delivery. You must be sure to include the business/company name in the ship-to information to ensure that the package(s) are routed properly. We cannot, however, ship to P.O. Boxes under any circumstances.
A: Unfortunately no, currently we only ship within the United States.
A: You will need at least one form of valid identification and the order confirmation number. If you are without those items, you may show the credit card that the order was billed to. You may have someone else pickup the order for you, but they will also need proper identification and the order number as well.
A: No, by law, all packages must require an adult signature who is 21 years or older at the time of delivery. Sorry, no exceptions will be made.
A: All FedEx representatives and drivers are fully trained in checking for an adult identification card to ensure that an adult over the age of 21 is receiving the package at the time of delivery.
A: Unfortunately, we are working with too many variables for us to guarantee a specific date. However, we will try our best to get the order to you as soon as possible.
A: Currently we stock over thousands of wines in our warehouses. Unfortunately, due to the space constraints, we do not stock all inventory in our stores. However, you will find wines from all over the world in our stores.
A: If the order is shipped outside of Connecticut, then there is NO tax. If the order is shipped within CT, then there will be a 6% tax charge applied to your order automatically.
A: Currently, we only accept major credit cards: Visa, Master Card, AMEX, and Discover. Please check back at a later date as we might implement additional forms of payment.
