92 Pts RP r <FONT color=#ff0000><STRONG>Vineyard Planted in 1922<BR>Big Red With Spectacular Balance<BR>Price To Quality Ratio Cannot Be Beat.</FONT></STRONG><BR>If you love Napa Cabs this wine cannot be beat at the price point. The great Malbec's from Argentina are offering big red quality at by far the best buy in out there and this is one of the best. Parkers WA just looked at Argentina and one of the highest scoring wines at the price was an old favorite of mine. The 2006 Finca Abril Malbec 1922 got 92 pts by Parker and we can offer it to you $27.99. Straight up this is a great buy! The wine displays gorgeous concentration and opulence but has absolutely perfect balance. The wine gets its name from a tiny one acre vineyard that was planted in 1922. We all know that old vines make the best wines, where you get awesome richness with an elegance to match. Located in La Consulta in Valle de Uco, the mid-west of the Province of Mendoza, these are high altitude vineyards which have the ability to produce long ripening Malbec with great depth and character. This area is one of the best parts of Mendoza like Pauillac in Bordeaux. Yields are extremely low and the wine spends 18 months in new French oak. This red being a 2006 has had time in the bottle to really show. This wine will blow your mind for its incredible concentration, balance and elegance that is normally kept for Cult Cali Cabs and other Cult reds from Chile, Argentina and Australia at much higher prices. I strongly recommend, this wine is complete and ideal red wine drinking over the upcoming colder months. If you want serious quality at a reasonable price this is your wine.<BR><BR><B>Tasting Notes: </B>The 2006 Malbec offers up a sexy perfume of wild berries, underbrush, incense, and lavender. Layered and plush on the palate, this succulent effort has the stuffing to evolve for 2-3 years and will deliver prime drinking from 2012 to 2021. This wine is all about spectacular balance from oak aging, to opulent black fruits, the perfect balance of power verses elegance. Spectacular quality for the price.

94 Pts RP r <STRONG><FONT color=red>94 pts Parker</FONT></STRONG><BR><STRONG>The 2010 Vintage For Southern Rhone Is Classic.<BR>Great Gigondas Producer.<BR>Same Quality as Chateauneuf du Pape<BR>At a Lower Price.</STRONG><BR>The world of wine yields great treasure from different parts of the world in a given year. This year there is huge demand for the spectacular Southern Rhone's from 2010. The great wines from the Southern Rhone are the Chateauneuf du Papes and people in the know are clamoring/lining up for the best Chateauneufs from this incredible vintage. Parker himself tastes the Southern Rhone and he has declared 2010 a GREAT VINTAGE with some producers commenting that their 2010's will eclipse their 2007's. Parker comments that, I can't remember a vintage so concentrated, powerful and rich...Weather conditions were near perfect. The 2010's will have significant aging potential, they have excellent tannic structures. The tannins however are sweet, supple with exceptional elegance and finesse. The Southern Rhone is offering an embarrassment of riches and more and more wine lovers are beating down the door to get these outstanding wines. There is one massive problem with this great vintage. The crop was very small, 30 to 40% of all Grenache grapes were lost, the dominant grape varietal in the Southern Rhone. This was due to a viticulture problem, the French call coulure and millerandage which results in uneven berry size and different levels of grape maturity. If in a normal year let say 1000 cases of a wine are made, in 2010 only 500 to 700 cases were made. Availability of these great wines is going to be a definite problem.Domaine Brusset are top four producer in Gigondas, an Appelation not as famous as Chateauneuf du Pape but the best are every bit as good but at a much lower price. This important domaine has vineyards spread throughout the southern Rhone, primarily in Gigondas and its neighboring villages. Domaine Brusset was among the first estates to introduce small barrels (barriques) for aging their top cuvee, the old vine Les Hauts de Montmirail. After an extravagant use of wood in the early days, they have gotten the marriage between wood and fruit to a nearly ideal point. We have three of their finest wines in the 2010 vintage that have got massive scores at low prices. This is a Pre-Sell.<BR><B>Tasting Notes:</B>A superb offering, the 2010 Gigondas Tradition Les Grands Montmirail reveals a more saturated purple color as well as more concentration, definition and precision.
