The most powerful of the Pinot Noirs in the Cote de Beaune. Charmots is a Premier Cru vineyard just above Les Grands Epenots, on the same band of elevation as its near neighbor, Beaune Clos des Mouches. Like that vineyard, with some bottle age this site develops classic violet floral notes on the nose. With time they gain lots of complexity. Age of vines are 45 years.
