Tasting Notes:The 2004 Taurasi Vigna Andrea is just beautiful. This is a fresh, elegant style of Taurasi that emphasizes some of the more refined elements of the grape in its sweet, layered expression of fruit. Varietal notes of leather, game and earthiness make an appearance on the long, satisfying finish. The wine could use another year or so in bottle to allow some of the oak to integrate, but this feminine Taurasi is also drinking quite nicely today. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.
