Very, very interesting.<br><br><b>92 pts Wine&Spirits:</b> This is ripe and round, yet elegant and sophisticated, bringing together red fruit, eucalyptus, leather and fresh spices.<br><br>86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc. The precision and elegance of a Bordeaux together with the bright fruit flavors found in California Cabernet. This single vineyard gem is from Chile’s finest, Clos Quebrada de Macul, sited 400-800 meters high, planted in gravelly, nutrient-starved soils on 45 degree slopes at the base of the Andes Mountains. Afternoon sun warms the vineyards and cool mountain breezes slide down the hillsides at night to create a broad oscillation between daytime and night-time temperatures, dream conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The harvest is not determined by block or row but vine by vine. Open-top fermentation and personalized oak aging cycles.
