A Left Bank gem located in the town of Begadan, two minutes north of Civrac-en-Medoc, from Jean-Marc Aberne. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc vines planted in clay-limestone soils. An elegant ruby colour, nose of black fruits and classic wet leaves gives way to currant, ripe red fruit, mineral aromas. Core fruit concentration mid-palate is beautifully in place with hints of coffee and an aromatic smoothness in mouth, molten, velvety tannins on the round finish. Perfect with pate, roast beef or short ribs.
