Tasting Notes:A blend of Cab, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cab Franc (in descending order of quantity) has an alluring nose right now of Mexican chocolate, sweet black cherry and blackberry, with subtle hints of smoke, vanilla and nutmeg spice. On the palate, chocolately espresso frames a core of dark, sweet cherry, plum and blackberry fruit with already well-integrated tannins. The wine is quite firmly structured right now and needs some decanting.
