If you like the very finest oak aged Cali Chards or great white Burgs. You will love this wine. Jose Pariente is recognizes as the finest producer of Verdejo in Rueda. There unoaked there Verdejo is also as good as it gets. With this wine they take their absolute finest rows of Verdejo in the vineyard and age it in French oak for one years. The result is a spectacular rich and opulent white that rivals the very best. Dark gold with rich aromas of smoky pear, peach and apricot. Shows a nice soft, rich attack and complex, rich flavors of honey, roasted nuts, and toasted oak very nicely set off by crisp acidity and a long lasting finish. A gorgeous wine. Serve with rich fowl.<br><br><b>Tasting Notes:</b><br><br><b>Parker:</b> Ripe on the palate with excellent integration of the oak, this surprisingly complex Verdejo will drink well for another two years.<br><b>Tanzer:</b> At once dense and vibrant, with racy minerality adding freshness to the sweet, oak-spiced orchard fruit flavors.
