The 2007 Cellier des Princes Chateauneuf du Pape while supplies last can be had at $29.99 per bottle by the case. This is a 40 % savings on a truly exceptional wine. Quality from this vintage is absolutely sold out. Tanzer loved the giving it 90pts and I tasted the wine last week and it delicious, softening nicely with rich concentrated red fruits, a complex bouquet and satiny supple on the back end. The wine won Gold Medal at the Challenge International du Vin. The great wine writer Jancis Robinson rated the wine 17 out of 20, the same score others that are well passed the $80 mark. This quality from such a great vintage, from a region of such pedigree under $30 is unheard of. This is the King of the Southern Rhone, Chateauneuf du Pape, making some of the greatest wines in the world. Cellier des Princes is one of the longest established producers from the region. This wine is absolute nectar! A spectacular buy!<br><br>Medium red. Seductively perfumed bouquet displays scents of redcurrant, cherry and rose, with an undercurrent of spices and minerals. This is one of the all time great values in Napa Cabernet. The wine is the 2009 Snowden Cabernet The Ranch. The Snowden family have been making wine and looking after their vineyards for the last fifty years. “The Ranch” is located in Napa’s heartland touching both the Rutherford and St Helena appellations neighboring Sloan and Hall. This is old Napa with the hill side vineyards only being accessible by 4x4. The wine is made by one of wines power couples, Diana Snowden Seysses who also makes wine with her husband Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac in Burgundy. The great David Ramey consults with winemaking and vineyard management. There are only 1600 cases of this wine to be had and they are already spoken for.
