News of this wine hit the wire in the Spring. A "Wines of Chile Expo" took place in Santiago... it was attended by every major wine publication in the world (Notably, Wine Spectator, Robert Parker, Decanter, Tanzer). 450 Wines were judged "blind" and at the end of the tasting, the wine that took Best in Show (which included both reds and whites) was Casas del Bosque Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. The wine disappeared immediately from the shelves. We were lucky to receive a tiny allocation, which in turn we sold out in a blink. We have anxiously been waiting for more to arrive, and the wine has just come in.You will be hard pressed to fine a more perfect example of Sauvignon Blanc from any region in the world. Aged in year old French barrique for six months, this wine is an example of ample flavour marked with finesse and restraint. A beautiful straw coloured hue that is tinged with green, fresh aromas of citrus, fig and gooseberry burst from the glass and flows seamlessly to the palate. The finish is clean and refreshing. An excellent wine, that happens to be white, and that can be enjoyed 12 months a year.
